The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) will hold its first ever National Conference from 18 – 20 August 2019 at the Emperor’s Palace, Kempton Park, Gauteng.

The Conference will provide an opportunity for delegates across all health sectors to engage on regulatory matters in the healthcare environment, including the shifting global and local healthcare trends. The theme for the event is Regulating the Health Professionals in the 21st Century with a focus on the role of the Regulator in Universal Health Coverage as well as looking at the Regulators' contribution towards advocating for good health and well-being.

Transforming Classroom Experiences for the Helping Professionals

The School of Human and Community Development (Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, Psychology & Social Work) at Wits University will be hosting a symposium on transforming classroom experiences. The symposium is open to academics, researchers and clinicians within the helping professions who have redesigned their teaching practice to accommodate the need for transformation and decolonisation.
