PR and Marketing
The PR and Marketing committee now consists of 4
members, all resident in Port Elizabeth, who meet on
a monthly basis. The role of the PR and Marketing
Committee of SASLHA is two-fold, namely:
- To promote the professions of Audiology and
Speech-Language Therapy to the South African public
through awareness campaigns and information
- To promote SASLHA to communication professionals,
as we strongly believe it is the professional
responsibility of all Audiologists and
Speech-language therapists to belong to, and
contribute to their professional association.
Our main public awareness campaign for 2008 will be
to attract high school learners to join the
professions. We aim to target schools and school
counselors with updated career information regarding
the professions. Other campaigns involve advertising
the professions through informative articles in
publications and the press, as well as possibly a
radio campaign.
