The work of an ESL teacher is both challenging and rewarding. An ESL, or English as a Second Language, teacher instructs students whose native language is something other than English.
An ESL teacher working with young or adult students teaches them comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, along with other important elements of the language. ESL teachers work in a variety of environments.
The Ida Institute is an independent, non profit educational institute located north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The establishment of the Ida Institute was based on a grant from the Oticon Foundation and is named in honor of Mrs. Ida Demant, the wife of the founder.
The Ida Institute would like to thank the Oticon Foundation for its generous support. We believe our work fulfills the mission of the foundation which is to improve the lives of the hearing impaired.
