"Communication for all"
SASLHA Conference/AGM 2010 - New Perspectives on our Professions

The professions of Speech Therapy and Audiology have undergone numerous changes in the past decade. The recent update of the Scope of the Professions outlines some new areas in which professionals in our field should ensure continued education in order to stay abreast of new developments. A context specific overview of where our professions have come from and where we are heading, will inform Speech-Language Therapists and Audiologists of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the next decade. Specific new theoretical and clinical insights in all aspects of Speech Pathology and Audiology that need to be explored and showcased will inform the development of our conference programme.

The organising committee of the SASLHA conference 2010 hereby invites you to submit proposed topics and a brief abstract of the presentation for the conference by the 20 th of January 2010.

A poster session and competition for the best poster will also form part of the programme and this call for abstracts includes poster submissions. All aspects of paediatric and adult Speech Pathology and Audiology will be included in the programme that will be finalised at the end of January. Any suggestions to the committee are welcome.
